1930's Bowton through the looking glass of Mass Observation.
Is the content compelling? It is if you are interested in how people lived back in pre war North west England - in what was called 'Worktown', but was in fact Bolton, which is where I was born and my mums family are from. However, if you are not interested in social history and hate detail, then I would avoid this.
