    Tragic tale

    This film is not easy to watch. It shows a man humiliate his wife in almost every worst way imaginable. She adores him and does not want him to leave -- and yet she sees no way to fix her situation. I hesitated between 3 and 4 stars because the strong performances, particularly from Emmanuelle Devos, make this film worthwhile. The cinematography is also spectacular. The director also does an excellent job of building suspense so you don't really see what's coming next, although you fear the worst. I certainly recommend this film, but it is not easy-viewing.

    True Commitment

    A tremendous story of true commitment, in the face of all adversity and betrayal. A love story that compels passion for the players, passion for the story, and for their lives, during that particular time. A relentless, and tireless faith we see from one strong woman. Beautiful.
