Diese Studie erweitert diese Perspektive und untersucht 5.000 Hilfsleistungen zwischen 1.400 Helfern und Hilfsempfangern mit Ruckgriff auf Methoden der Sozialen Netzwerkforschung und liefert durch die enge Verbindung von Hermeneutik und Datenanalyse auch einen Beitrag zur Methodendiskussion in den Digitalen Geisteswissenschaften. Hilfsnetzwerke hatten ihre Wurzeln in Vertrauensbeziehungen, die in Nischen uberleben konnten. Oftmals in Reaktion auf die Judenverfolgung und vorangetrieben durch charismatische Persoenlichkeiten, entwickelte sich uber Jahre hinweg die Bereitschaft, das hohe Risiko von Hilfsleistungen einzugehen. Den Verfolgten kommt dabei eine bislang unterschatzte Bedeutung als Impulsgeber, Vermittler und Helfer zu. Anhand von sechs Berliner Fallstudien untersucht During aus der Perspektive von Helfern und Hilfsempfangern die soziale Verfasstheit von Hilfsbereitschaft.
