I am happy to have this. I think it works as intended. My original was not a Lite Model. The front cover of the device is missing that covers a port connection. I can live with that. I think it was a very good price. I am pleased. Thank you.

The DS lite I got is in great condition and works great with both ports. It has everything it said it would come with and there doesn't seem to be any damages whatsoever. The product has exceeded my expectations and I look forward to using it.

The Nintendo DS is absolutely amazing for fun. It keeps my daughter and even my self thinking and playing adventurous well thought out games. However, the craftsmanship of the DS is rather chintzy. This is our 4th purchase in 4 years. We even bought a replacement case. The hinges are junk. They crack, get loose and then the DS breaks. They are not very resistant to accidental droppings and for a child's game console, you would think it could handle a 1 foot drop on carpet. You would also think the price could come down since new and improved consoles have surfaced. We purchased 2 new ones and 2 used ones. They all work the same and have the same lifespan. Just recently bought a new shell and screen to reassemble and try to save some money. Money saved, but what a pain to put it all back together! Not for the mechanically deficient. If you can't use a soldering iron, do not attempt. I give this an average to below average rating on durability, an excellent rating for fun, and a poor rating for your wallet.Read full review
A great hand held gaming device from Nintendo that withstands the test of time - even in the face of its newer rival(s) the Nintendo DSi, and the upcoming Nintendo DSi XL. A long-time fan of hand held systems, because of their portability, and the fact that they can be used anytime, anywhere, unlike X boxes and Nintendo Wii's. I already had a Nintendo DS Lite, but needed another one in a hurry. I was attracted by the fact that this particular auction was for a lightly used system. I was not disappointed, and it has proved a welcome addition to my collection of Nintendo products. The DS Lite may not have all the bells and whistles of the DSi, but in my humble opinion it still has a lot to offer hand held game players young and old. It also has the plus of being able to play Nintendo Advance game carts as/when called for. The list of games being developed for the DS game system series is constantly expanding, with old ga,e formats being revamped, and newer innovations being introduced that make full(er) use of the system's capabilities. To anyone who might like to "give it a whirl", I would encourage doing what I did, and check the eBay auction sights for lightly used and carefully kept systems that come with all the originl accessories e.g. AC adaptor.Read full review
I orginally had a DS Lite before it got stolen. I brought a DSi to replace it. Normally when I do that I give the old system to my niece. Her birthday was coming up so I wanted to get her a DS lite so she can still play her Gameboy Advance games (you can not play them on the DSi). Anyway she was turning seven so she doesn't necessarily need a new system so I brought this one. It was cheaper than anyone that was sold in the stores. I didn't care that the touch screen was so scratched up and loose but she and I would live. After she had it for about two weeks and played it then the battery dies. So she tried to charge it. It wouldn't charge. I thought maybe the battery had died so I ordered a new battery for it. Worked fine. Try to charge it after the battery had ran down a little. Still nothing. Long story short I tried everything to make sure it was the gaming system itself and it was. So I would highly recommend considering what I said before buying it unless you know how to fix the charging issue, and scratched and loose touch screen.Read full review
The Nintendo DS Lite is fairly compact, can easily fit in an adult size pocket, yet it still packs a lot of gaming punch. The design is simple, yet stylish. These things are durable and made to last, that's one of the great things about Nintendo products. The built in rechargeable battery pack, and included charging cable, will ensure you will always have the power needed to run the DS without having to continuously buy new batteries. There is a HUGE library of games for the DS, so virtually every type of gamer will be satisfied with the selections. However, the only down side is the cost of the games adds up quickly! Newer or popular games range from $30 - $40, so get 10 of these and your paying an average of $350! But fortunately there are many games in the $10-$20 range, and many used games for sale in games stores or right here on ebay!Read full review
We have purchased two used DS lites for our children. The DS lite is more durable than I thought it would be. The girls have brought them on road trips, doctor visits anywhere they might need to entertain themselves. There seems to be a good variety of games available to keep them happy. There are a few educational games available as well. A screen protector is a must. If the screen gets scratched it makes it difficult, if not impossible, to play some of the games. An extra stylus pen is also useful as they tend to get loose & fall out of the slot on the side of the DS. Overall, I am happy with this item. I would buy another. I actually would like to have one for myself! ;o)
I bought this DS after having been nagged and nagged by my 3 yr old and you know what's funny.. I can't put it down! Not only is the Nintendo DS Lite fun and easy to use but it's also very small and you can take it anywhere with you. The custom colors are great as well as the carrying case. The games are a little small for my taste but that is only cause I lose everything! Other then that this is a GREAT buy and totally worth it!
The Nintendo DS Lite is a sleek new design from the original Nintendo DS, and the custom colors allow users to enjoy their experience with the DS Lite. It's compact, glossy, and appealing to the eye. There are also four screen settings on brightness (with the only downside being the brighter the screen, the faster the battery is used up). This design takes up less space and is easier to use in your hands. For travelling, or just sitting down at home, this would be an excellent source of entertainment.
I wanted a nice handheld gaming system for when I'm away from home or not wanting to play on my Wii or Gamecube, so I decided to buy the DS Lite. It has a nice, sleek design and it's everything I would have expected in a handheld gaming system, easy to use and fits right in my hands, a fully functional, fun gaming system that will most likely last me for years to come. Great job, Nintendo, the graphics are terrific.
