Helpful captions and a price guide make this an essential part of every collector's library. AUTHOR: Charlie Mack is one if the world's foremost authorities on Matchbox Toys. He has accumulated what is probably the world's largest collection of a single toy brand, with over 30,000 items. He has written four previous volumes on Matchbox.

    Mainly pictures

    There are many pictures of all different types of the models. All in full colour. Nicely done. However, there is no description on the different models, At the end of the book there is in very small print a dry listing of several variations with price indication. A combination of the pictures and the text concerning these models on the same page would already be an improvement.

    Matchbox "Dictionary" Is Helpful Info.

    I needed a revised copy of this book, as I'd used the first edition of it so much it fell apart! Very good information, though due to the time span release of all the items there is only room for one photo of each. As a longtime collector, I appreciate having a copy again at my fingertips to refer to when listing already-collected or adding new versions. I really bought this for the "what" - the listed versions, not the estimated values given here.
