K-9 is the main focus of these 2 lil adventures This shows the first adventure K-9 had with the Doctor as well as Leela and the first adventure K-9 Mark III had with Sarah Jane Smith, most of the modern fans will remember him from School Reunion from Series 2. The trip into the brain of the Doctor in The Invisible Enemy will make somes eyes roll but as long as they are fan's of the Doctors unique brand of adventure they should enjoy the rest of the serial's fantastic story. The Doctor is infected with a mind controling alian virus thats out to conquer not only the microscopic world but the entire universe, the Doctor can only rely on his barbaric friend Leela and the newly befriended loyal, intelligent, and powerful K-9. In K-9 and Company: A Girl's Best Friend, we see Sarah Jane Smith taking control in her own adventures with her sidekick (a gift from the Doctor) K-9 to uncover a evil local witchcraft coven. This isn't the greatest adventure you'll ever watch and those whom embrace the new age belifs (or old age) may find the plot alil politicaly incorrect, but it is a bit of a dark and creepy story, the downfall comes from it's sometimes confusing cast of charecters and paceing, but it is still a rare story to find and is in retrospect a starting point for the new Sarah Jane Adventures series so if your a fan of the new series you'll definatly want this one as well as Doctor Who The Five Doctors special and Doctor Who The Complete Second Series to understand the start of the new series.Read full review
This Doctor Who episode comes with the extra feature: K-9 & Company- A Girl's Best Friend. I think it was a pilot episode for would have been the first Doctor Who spinoff. The theme music is dated, but definitely a must have in the Whovian collection.

Both stories are entertaining with good characters. The tribute to Elisabeth Sladen was well done and brought back memories of seeing her on Dr Who and other BBC programs.
