About this product

Product Information

And When Did You Last See Your Father? is from Blake Morrison's moving and candid memoir of his father in the weeks leading up to his death. When Arthur Morrison was diagnosed with terminal cancer, he had only a few weeks left to live. Morrison travelled to Yorkshire to stay with his mother in the village where he grew up. He visited his father at the hospital where he had spent so much time with his own patients as a GP. As his father's condition worsened, Morrison contemplated their shared experiences, the intimacies and the irritations of their relationship. After his father's death, Morrison questions the nature of the bond between them, articulately expressing the contradictions, frustrations, love and loss bound into the complicated relationships which most of us have with our parents.

Sadly, my 3-disc box set I purchased had the plastic cut at the edge sometime and 1 disc was missing. Despite the fact it could have happened in the post or after delivery, Sammy189 gave me an immediate and full refund. I can say Sammy189 communicates quickly and efficiently, and I highly recommend him to look after you if you ever have an issue with your purchase. Regards Aymee

  • An excellent movie that will make you cry as well as laugh.

Blake comes to terms with all the embarrassing moments in his childhood and teens that he endured from his father. A very moving story that reminds those of us who have ever experienced the death of a parent and the memories that are evoked.
