I thank Dr. Cahill for bringing together the important contributions to this book and am confident that it will make us feel strong and more prepared in our commitment to better protect our learners, their teachers and all those involved in the delivery of their right to education. I believe these efforts have enabled us to make progress toward these important goals and see increasing awareness of right to education in emergencies as part of the legacy of my Presidency. -----H.E. Miguel D'Escoto Brockmann, President of the Sixty-third Session of the United Nations General Assembly, from the foreword, "Even in Chaos should be required reading for everyone concerned about the desperate plight of too many children in the world. As many voices in this book remind us, education is our most powerful weapon in this war." -----Tom Brokaw, Even in Chaos should be required reading for everyone concerned about the desperate plight of too many children in the world. As many voices in this book remind us, education is our most powerful weapon in this war.-Tom Brokaw I have done voluntary work for UNICEF and other UN agencies during military conflicts and afterwards. Synopsis
Children have a fundamental right to education, and to the protection that schools uniquely provide in the chaos that characterizes life for refugees and internally displaced persons. This book is grounded in the personal experiences of children, aid workers, and national leaders involved in post-conflict resolution. Experts from many troubled parts of the world consider the scope of the problem, as well as the tools needed to address the crisis.

Item description from the seller
Seller Feedback (28,947)
- 9***u (778)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseUnbelievably sleazy seller. I actually emailed them asking them why this particular copy was so cheap and the reply was a laconic oh it's just a DVD. It's actually a battered ex Library copy, it arrived loose in its case and it's highly scratched to the point where I don't even know if it's going to play or not and I haven't gotten around to testing the thing because I don't want to be upset even more. The seller is out of control I need to be banned from eBay. There was no description btw.Without Lying Down - Frances Marion and the Power of Women in Hollywood [DVD] (#135003212417)
- t***b (568)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseFast and easy transaction, quick ship, as described, reasonable price, good packaging. Would buy from againThe arrangement; a novel. (#145740917473)
- l***c (129)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseThe condition was described as "Good." What I received was in pretty rough shape. The discs were scratched and dusty, and some were taped together. The case was also broken and cracked. Per guidance on packing slip, I sent an e-mail to address these issues. Never got a response. Later contacted seller directly through ebay (as opposed to e-mail) after return window ended, and was told to request a return. Did so through ebay. No response.
