About this product

Product Information

Every four years, the world's favorite sport stages its ultimate competition, and publishing label EA Sports brings the play home to fans in a video game version for contemporary consoles. On Xbox 360, 2010 FIFA World Cup: South Africa presents an experience that aims to encompass the entire international event, and closely follows the format of the real-world competition. Beginning with the qualifying rounds, the game includes 199 teams that dreamed of playing in the world championships. Gamers can take a shot at leading their favorites through the entire event, from the qualifying rounds to the final series, or jump straight to the finishing rounds with the sport's biggest players in a custom, all-star match up. 2010 FIFA World Cup is built on the same game engine that drives the critically acclaimed FIFA 10, with similar features, options, and gameplay. The game's presentation celebrates the 2010 global event. Each team plays in its authentic uniforms, with distinct play styles, and home and away strategies, to match its real-life counterpart. All ten of the South African stadiums that house the tournament are re-created for the game, with details such as the effects of different altitudes on ball movement and player fatigue, as well as fireworks displays, confetti showers, and animated crowds to bring the pageantry of the event to life.

Great communication, great pricing, fast shipping , made sure controllers were cleaned before shipping. Controllers were in better shape than described. They looked almost new when I received them. Also made sure to ship them safely. Fantastic seller overall.

Seller had to cancel order, due to selling elsewhere. Leaving a positive review because they did what a good seller does, they communicate. They didn't make me wait 7-10 days until I asked when my item would be shipping out to only then tell me that they have to cancel. The world is a crazy, busy place. We all make mistakes. This seller is one of the good ones to quickly address the issue.

  • Great game leading up to the World Cup

Whether you are a huge soccer fan or totally new to the sport this game is a blast. I bought Fifa 10 at release and have played it a ton and this game only improves on it. Same great engine from Fifa 10 is tweaked to address some major annoyances. (Defenders chesting balls in the box down straight to attackers for gimme goals, easy chips of the keeper) Scatter shot observations. All 199 teams, many with authentic jerseys. New stadiums and overall presentation is great although the in-game cut scenes can get a bit repetitive. Graphics in the cut scenes are also improved and the player close-ups look better than ever. Captain your country is a pretty cool feature, and if you have a created player from Fifa 10 you can transfer him over. The stats you worked so hard to build up will not ...

  • Online Gaming

i love this game its the best game online Let's start with Virtual Pro which, in my opinion, should make its way into every EA Sports game in the coming year or two. It starts similarly to the standard Be A Pro modes (which are also included). You create a player, design his attributes to fit your play style and sculpt his look to match your own – or some disgusting alternative rendition. You can even use GameFace to upload a photo of yourself into the game. It works better in FIFA 10 than it ever has prior. It isn't perfect, but it's better than the previous iteration that made its way into Fight Night Round 4. After you're done sculpting your future footie star, it's time to take to the pitch. Here's where Virtual Pro differentiates itself from the Be A Pro modes of the past. Instead of ...

  • Great game for any Soccer Fan

I have almost not slept since I got this game. Every time you finish one match, you say to yourself "Just one more". I love the Captain mode as it resembles a lot to the way you really play the game. You have to always watch for your position in the field and also rely on the rest of the team. The IA is really great in the sense that most of the times they don't pass you the ball unless you are in a good position. I am no expert with dribbling but to start you don't need to use all the special tricks. Another thing that is great is that all 199 country teams are included. I always missed my home country from all the other games. And now I can use it to try to beat Argentina, Brazil or Spain. I have yet to try playing online. From what i have already experienced I need some more ...

  • 2010 FIFA World Cup (Xbox 360, 2010)

Plays a great, realistic game of soccer; Impressive visuals and animation; Difficulty and control options cater to players of all skill levels; Significantly better commentary than FIFA 10. Once every four years, EA Sports gets to put out a licensed World Cup game in addition to its regular FIFA offerings. This year, 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa is arriving in stores just six months after the release of the superb FIFA Soccer 10, so predictably it doesn't represent a major leap forward over that game. Some noticeable improvements have been made on the field, though, and while you won't find the same wealth of gameplay modes on offer here as in a regular FIFA release, there are plenty of options to keep you entertained while you're waiting for the next World Cup match to kick off and ...
