The controller was already set to on, even though it was supposed to be new. Brand new products are always set to off. Secondly, even with the batteries, it really works a third of the time, making it really unreliable during gaming sessions. Also, once you remove the plastic to put the batteries on, there is no way of putting it back. Really cheap material overall and I obviously can't play with those.
