      Locking mechanism faulty

      The locking mechanism does not work in keeping the blade either closed or in the open position. Locking mechanism looks cheaply constructed. Very, very disappointed! After reading all of the great reviews I was expecting a good valued saw that would actually work. In my opinion there are other saw brands out there giving better value for money.

      A bushcrafting classic

      A bushcrafting classic. After having had both the Bahco Laplander and a Silky BigBoy, I prefer the Bahco for Australian timber. The Laplander feels better in the hand, cuts on both push and pull, and doesn't have the problem with the placement of the locking mechanism. Its like the Mora of saws - great quality, made in Sweden, and at a great price. You can even buy replacement blades.

      Brilliant

      The best saw to carry in Australia when bush walking I have been using my current one for several years to clear fallen timber fro bush tracks will easily cut through a 150 mm log. This saw is lighter and out performs others of similar price on the market.
