We do, however, repair the vast majority of imperfections successfully; any imperfections that remain are intentionally left to preserve the state of such historical works., Excerpt from The Nicholas White Family: 1643 1900 On the 31st of August 1898, a meeting of the descendants of Nicholas White was held at Historical Hall, in Taunton, under the auspices of the Old Colony Historical Society. At this meeting an association was formed called the Nicholas White Genealogical and Historical Association. Rev. Nehemiah White, D. D., of Galesburg, Ill., was chosen president, Mrs. Clara Isabel Hubbard of Taunton, secretary; and Thomas J. Lothrop, historian. Mrs. Fanny M. Leonard of Taunton, contributed a poem which was well received. She also contributed a poem for each of the three subsequent meetings held in the years 1899, 1900 and 1901.
