      Makes repair easy

      This contactor bolts right up where the old one came out. It is easy to install and hook up the wiring. It works perfectly and and has a heavier current rating than the original. Would definitely buy another. It made the repair easy and quick.

      Eliminates Contact Chatter and Hum

      You want one side continuously connected, or the shunt contact, so only one side is switched. This eliminates contactor hum or pre mature failure. 40 Amp contactor with 35 Amp cartridge fuse should work on any 4 or 5 ton central air conditioning unit. Coil Voltage is 24 VAC supplied by a system step down transformer which supplies power to thermostat.
