Synopsis
This study is the first critical biography in English of Sholem Asch, who did little in his lifetime to make such a task an easy one. Asch was not a "tidy" writer. He lived in many cities and countries, wrote tirelessly, and kept little record of his numerous novels, stories, and essays--much less of the countless Yiddish, Hebrew, and European periodicals and newspapers (most of them now long defunct), or editions and translations, in which his writings appeared., A landmark book in dance education is now back in print, its message as valid today as it was more than fifty years ago

The book was shipped in a timely way, and was well protected with bubble packaging. For a book that is nearly 75 years old, it is in nearly perfect condition--no markings, dogears or fraying. The dust jacket has a little wear and tear on it, but that's to be expected; exactly as described. A great value for a rare book. A+ Reliable Seller--buy with confidence!

Excellent condition item, as described and pictured...and packaged well. Still scratching my head why the postage amount was so high - twice as much as normal ($29 instead of the usual $13-14 for a single paperback from the U.S. to the U.K.)...it took the shine off a pleasing purchase. I did enquire about the postage rate, but did not get a reply. I went ahead and purchased anyway, because I wanted to add the title to my collection. Not sure why eBay are quoting you so much for postage! 🤔

I received the book I ordered in the condition depicted and described on the webpage. The seller packaged the book in a plastic envelope and bubblewrap with a cardboard support, and shipped in a cushioned envelope to protect against damage in the mail.
