Solid with great features
Love this machine. It heats up quickly and makes great espresso with good crema. I've been using loose grounds, but there's an option if you want to use coffee pods. I haven't used the steamer wand much, but so far I've made decent foamed milk. The steamer wand isn't very powerful, but it does the job. With practice I might even be able to make decent microfoam for latte art. The only thing I don't like about this machine is that the drip tray isn't very big so I'm emptying it all the time. I do like that it has a pop-up button that will tell me the tray is full. I also like that the metal screen on the tray looks like a face:-) Love this machine. Like A Brand New Machine!
This product looked brand new out of the box. I would have thought that it was, were it not for a couple of scuffs on the portafilter. I cleaned everything first, read all the instructions, then gave it a try with one of my favorite roasts. An insane noticeable difference from a standard coffee maker. From what I can tell a much better use of the grounds. I haven't tried the milk frother/foamer just yet, but everything works well! Good price for decent, easy espresso
For the price I can’t imagine a better machine as easy to use or clean that produces as good an espresso. If I have a real complaint it’s that steaming the milk so far has produced a plastic-y taste, but rather than try and see if this goes away I just use a steamer/frother I already had. People looking to dial their espresso in, find a machine to mod, or have a more personal experience with their coffee/maker, will probably want a more robust machine. If you just want decent espresso in the morning and can follow instructions, this is a good and relatively affordable optionFor the price I can’t imagine a better machine as easy to use or clean that produces as good an espresso. My first espresso machine
You realize pretty quick that some folks are awfully picky when it comes to coffee. I’m not one of those people but (you knew this was coming) I would really like to create interlocking swans with my latte art—or, at least a heart. I think this machine will get me there but, so far, I’ve had a once-every-morning-try-and-fail-session and I’m starting to think this may not be the machine for me after all. This morning my fresh hot latte was more like hot chocolate with a mocha twist. Lots and lots of steamed soy milk. “They” make it look so easy! So, in fairness, I’m giving it 5 stars but, if I find out it really is the machine and not my lack of skill, I’ll revise this review and really slam them for putting me through all this discouraging trauma I’m. going. through. Good machine!
quiet, quick, small, attractive. a great alternative to bigger, more expensive machines. I make 2 caps everyday for my wife, sometimes an additional one for myself, and this machine does the trick. Good milk steamer/frother that works great, and very successful coffee extraction. We don't use expensive coffee, just a very fine grind of what we like/ can afford. We aren't a high demand/high traffic location, so it works fine. It's early days- but we've been using it regularly for a month with no issues.
