      It serves its purpose but has its downside

      I knew how bulky this was going to be but figured for the protection it would’ve worth it. The one thing that makes this less than excellent is that the rubber is hardened and as it arrived slightly misshapen actually fitting this on my surface book took a fair bit of strength to the point I was worried I’d break something. Got it on though and it does appear solid. The section that covers the spine where the tablet connects is held on by a bit of elastic. Once you have the tablet off it gets in the when trying to reconnect making the transition clunky. For the price you pay for this, you’d think some resources would have been invested in this area and shouldn’t complicate the main feature of why you get the surface book.

      Snug fit, bumpers in the corners

      Overall excellent quality and has extra padding in the places that tend to cause the most damage when taking the brunt of a drop. Don't appreciate how much the "military protection" is pushed, as the test used is not vetted nor tells you anything useful, basically just a "it could work, in my opinion" test.

      Exactly what is on he Microsoft Store

      This case fits really tight. A little tricked to get the screen part fully on but you know it is tight enough to remove any secondary shock. Protects all parts of the laptop if dropped but till not game to drop test it. At least I know there won’t be any damage to the laptop in my bag unlike my last laptop.

      Must have product(If you own a Surface Book).

      Better design than the original. Still fits well. Now has crushable corners to protect the device. The hinge protection is improved, Not sure about the elastic, time will tell.
