  • Quick and easy assembly

This kit is not complicated, it contains all you need except paint and glue,(includes transfers). It is not so detailed as to make it easily damaged in use unlike some kits which are very fragile. I found it easy to fit HD couplings.

  • Classic Ratio wagon kit

Classic Ratio Caledonian bogie iron ore plastic wagon kit. Contains everything - plastic wheels, neat tension-lock couplings, and transfers for the LMS version as shown in the picture. All the parts fit together well. The only thing you have to watch out for is that the floor is in two halves that you need to assemble together flat and true, but the recommended way using the sides as a template/jig works. Also, would suggest fitting the wheels when assembling the second side-frame on each bogie, rather than springing them in afterwards - polystyrene is fairly brittle and they might just ping off. Reflecting the age of the kit, the underfloor brake gear is fairly basic but adequate for most purposes on a layout - you can always add the rest of the rigging from wire or plastic rod if you want a museum-quality model.
