    Good bang for my buck!!

    Have never had wi fi, wireless streaming, or any other modern goodies, then I made an offer on a Kindle which was accepted, not knowing it wouldn't work without a router!! My Nephew got it registered at my brother's & I downloaded a couple books and instantly became hooked & started shopping for my own router!! Had same nephew come & help with the installation which took some doing, likely our own fault, finally found the PH # for tech support were walked through the process!! So far it works GREAT & does everything the higher priced ones do, so as I said earlier: Good (make that GREAT) bang for my buck!! Would have given it 5***** except for the slight glitch installing it!!

    No power

    I was looking for a newer router with an extended range, this one looked good on paper......then I received it and it does not even power up. Now, it was shipped USPS, so who knows what they did to it. Packing could have been better, maybe that's why it did not withstand USPS or maybe it didn't work from the shipper??? No visible signs of breakage, just no power. Anyway it must go back.

    Wireless D-Link Router with Ethernet ports

    If you have internet service that does not exceed 100 MBPS, this would be an excellent router for you. It is priced very reasonably and works well with my wireless (microwave) internet service. If you live in an area that has fiber based internet, you would be better off with a gigabit router.

    Easy Installation & faster than Internet provided Eq.

    This was A very easy installation to my Internet provided Eq. It also will let me block ANY sights I see as BAD & SHOULD NOT ACCESS. Much faster WIFI than YOUR Internet supplied router. WIFI speed drop to around 2M when you use it on another floor & about 20 feet away BUT THATS BETTER than the Internet provided Eq. OVERALL, I like it ! D-Link should build their units with WIFI Security cameras in mind? I have found BUGS in the software in MANY MENUS when saving the config to the router which cause you to RESET the unit back to factory default(otherwise it's locked up). (This POST IS for DIR-815)
