Mid-end phone with great features
Some people have indicated having issues with the fingerprint reader, but I personally have not had any notable problems with it myself. My prints are recognised immediately 99% of the time. I actually prefer the position of the reader on the A8 (on the back) as compared to the newer highend phones like the s10 ( -- I have always had problems with the reader on them). Only slight issue I do have to report is the on-screen keyboard. Sometimes after highlighting text to copy or delete, the keyboard fails to appear. Sometimes I've had to re-highlight the text, other times the keyboard appears after some time. No issues with battery life. My only wish being that it had wireless charging capabilities - but being a mid-end phone, such is understandable. Being a mid-end phone, I also wish phone cases were more readily available for it. So far I have not been able to find them in stores. I am going to have to source them online. The camera isn't as great as the top-end phones like the s10, but that is also expected. If you don't use the camera much or require super HD quality, the camera will suffice. Love the size and lightweightedness. After having owned an s10+, the A8 is a welcome change in terms of how lightweight it feels to hold it. I enjoy being able to operate it one-handed. Without a phone case however, it doesn't feel as ergonomically comfortable (ie. no grip in hand or on surfaces). Do love that the sim card and micro SD card slots are in two separate compartments (meaning you don't need to remove your sim if you only wish to swap your micro SD).
