In this horror classic, Larry Talbot (Lon Chaney, Jr.) returns to his father's castle in Wales to join a beautiful woman (Evelyn Ankers). Classic film gets essential upgrade....!
The first one or two dvd releases of this 1941 classic was questionable but now this 2010 2 disc set is the WHOPPER for film buffs. You get an excellent transfer of the movie which makes the previous releases laughable. Plenty of extra features and goodies on the second disc. Now to the controversy about this packaging, I like the idea and dedication behind it but I think it was executed wrong. I read too many comments about the plastic disc holders coming apart from the inner lining where their attached by glue. Which is true cause you keep opening the case and closing from frequent viewings. Same problems with the packaging from DRACULA and FRANKENSTEIN 75th anniversary releases. Kind of a shame but I was looking forward to BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN being released the same way but only 4 titles got this treatment and Universal moved on. I still think they are worth the purchase price on secondary market regardless of the quality control of the packaging.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
