Overll the phone is a good value, however it DOES NOT have a SD card slot.

Battery life and Overall phone body protection
The battery on this phone doesn't last long at all. If I am doing something on my droid mini, the battery dies within an hour. On top of that, the phone will abruptly say that there is 0% battery and it just shuts off. Only then to find out that if you just turn it back on, there's whatever percentage left that you had before it shut off and it works fine. The "kevlar" outter protection shell, sucks. I am sorry but I dropped my droid one time and it now has a big hole on the corner. Overall, I thought this phone would be amazing, which it is in lots of ways, but I am disappointed. Good value smartphone, no SD card slot
Does everything a value smartphone should. Decent camera. NO sd card slot so it is NOT appropriate if you want to carry music and videos. After the basic OS it has 4.5Gb internal memory available for apps, music, or video files. Load a few apps and there is about 2 to 3 Gb for files. Great phone for a little price
I was able to take this phone to Tracfone on the BYOP program, but don't assume all Moto G's work this way, do some research. My understanding is that it has to be a used phone that was active for six months before Verizon unlocks it, but do your own research. Upgraded from a Moto E, everything about this phone is better, front/rear cams, light on camera, better resolution, bigger screen and lots more. The only downside, this model, the first gen Moto G, doesn't accept a micro-SD card, you are stuck with 8Gb. Be sure you understand which generation of Moto G you are buying, I think there's three and only the first one works with Tracfone? Not sure. Moto X 1st Gen is a great phone for the money
After one week of use, I am in love with this phone. The size is perfect for me and its functionality is ideal for my senior citizen needs. It did take me a while to learn all the little aspects regarding configuration and options as I found the manufacturers manual to be somewhat lacking in detail. I use it for basics; Calls, Texts, Email, Web browsing and occasional photos; therefore the lack of expandable storage is not an issue for me. Screen resolution is brilliant. Battery life is running about 36 hours however I do charge it overnight daily. Switch from boost mobile
Bought this phone after having major service issues with boost Mobile, needless to say Verizon wireless has excellent service. Bought this phone to try Verizon and didn't want to spend a fortune.
