Economical little book clearly explaining the most common knots, their uses and benefits.
Covers knots suitable for many everyday situations. Coloured diagrams clearly show which twist of rope goes where. Explains what uses each knot is for, and which knots are better than others. Explains the pros and cons of each knot eg. very easy to undo, very secure knot, etc.

compact and clear introduction
Just that really – it's compact, clear and quite charming in its attention to detail. It's probably a bit basic for anyone really into sailing, but for anyone with a more ordinary day-to-day interest in learning knots, it's a lovely little book.
