Great hose reels
I have three of these. The quality of each is fantastic but there are some small issues with each of them. The small ring that you use to pull up on to release the guide bar from rolling up the hose nicely rusts after a few months but isn’t a real issue since you pay extra to have it track so why would you want to disengage it? Also the reel probably should have a ratchet type device so when your unrolling it from the wheel it doesn’t keep unwinding when you stop pulling. It’s not a real big problem. The process of winding the hose up is great! The company should provide some TAPCON screws so you can mount it. You have to go buy your own. Overall these hose wheels are fantastic and well built. I have had plastic ones and after about 5 years they fall apart.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Hose reel
The only reason I give 4 of 5 stars is that it is all metal but has a soft rubber handle on the crank. That will be the first part to fail I believe.Otherwise, a great hose reel. Nice.. but,
Seems very well built. Needs "backlash" prevention feature though, as it keeps spinning after you pull hose out... not a big deal. Also, the hose fitting on mine had to be "cleaned up" before hose would screw on! It had slightly damaged threads. I'm a mechanic, so no biggie, but I can see this being a problem for others.. (CHECK THE FITTING GUYS!!) product control!! Anyway, works like it should and does a good job. Only time will tell on the internal gearing assembly and hose reel guid shaft longevity. This hose reel is very well built and looks great. A bit pricey but well worth it. The plastic model that I had initially, began to fall apart within a few years and needed to be repaired or patched up several times. Garden hose reel
Really pretty garden hose reel. Works great, chain is pretty well covered so no issues with things getting caught. Everything is made really well. Only complaint is the handle doesn’t look like it will last as long as everything else and it free spins very easily. I’m using a small bungee cord to hold the handle in place once it’s reeled up so it doesn’t unwind. I saw other complaints about how easy it was for it to free spin out when pulling on it, I don’t see that as a problem at all, if anything, I know the reel won’t ever be a place the hose will ever get hung up on when I’m pulling the hose around my house.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
