    Great Historical Performance Recorded for an Audience

    One of the finest performances of the New World that I have heard and my 1st choice of a now historical performance. This was one of the few early digital recordings that was done right. Unlike others that where microphones were placed through out the orchestra to capture the sounds of the individual instruments for the more compressed analog pressing. This led to harsh unnatural recordings where a single instrument will over ride the entire orchastra instead of being heard rising above it. This was miked in such a way as to capture the audience experience.
