    I just installed the last one I had. Much better value here then buying at the big box place. They last 100X longer then the OEM inside water/ice filters they try and screw you on. I usually keep several on hand. They don’t ware out and the prices are not falling…

    External filter

    Filter installs on the external water line that feeds into the refrigerator. My refrigerator does not have an internal filter, so an external filter is necessary to avoid sediment build-up in and consequent failure of ice maker components. The GE filter does a good job at filtering sediment as well as unsavory water taste.
