I have purchased 2 National geographic animal encyclopedias. A 2007 and a 2012 publication. Both have merit but not as extensive as I would like with omissions. The 2012 is more for children, I prefer the 2007 edition. but use them together . Both are adequate as a support to the BBC TV planet Earth series. What would be of interest would be a publication and college course for Planet Earth. That coupled with the Unearthed and how the universe works on the science channel is the best thing on TV

  • Good gift for kids.

My grandsons like it. I haven't seen it in person. Would have had to make a trip to Germany and one to Michigan. that's not in the budget right now.
