Really great product definitely serve the purpose
I like this keyboard I have one that cost a lot more this one fits the use that I have for it and I am contemplating purchasing another. The only problem I had with this according to the den structions I should be able to press the key combination and turn the lights off on the keyboard but it doesn't work but that doesn't mean that I should send the to keyboard board back I like it just the way it is and I can live with that. Saying that I do intend on purchasing another just like it it would be nice if they had a wireless version of it. Please continue to make the product it's very good like the big keys the large letters this is good for myself and for a customers that I have that have problem seeing things on the keyboard. Back light stays on when laptop or desktop is turned off
The backlit feature attracted me to this keyboard as I needed it badly. Price was good and so were the majority of reviews so I decided to buy it. However, there is a vexing flaw in the design. The back light stays on once the computer or laptop is shut down and there is no way to turn it off. Some say that the BIOS needs to be changed so that the port is not powered after shut down, but I am using a docking station so I have not figured it out. It also behaves when the laptop goes to sleep. It turns on by itself in a few minutes. Bad design. Otherwise, it is good for the price. I hope it will last but kind of bothers me that it stays on as described. I kind of regret purchasing considering such an obvious issue that should have been fixed.

Better than standard keyboard.
It is a basic standard keyboard but the keys are well illuminated and show up very well especially in low light or dark rooms. The keys are about the same size however their squared off shape makes them feel larger and I do make fewer typos with this keyboard. My only complaint is the keys when struck feel a little clunky not as smooth and fast as other keyboards but I feel it is a good trade off. A Great Backlit Keyboard with Large Font Keys!
I've been looking for a basic functional backlit keyboard for writing and working in the dark and the Perixx Periboard-317 fits the bill nicely! It's backlit with plain white light which makes the large font keys very easy to see. The chicklet style keys are very smooth and easy to push. My last Logitec brand keyboard had several keys which didn't work well even when brand new, all the keys on this one work excellently. They're spaced a bit further than normal keys but you easily become accustomed to them. Also the key holes are tight, with no gaps, so no stuff can get caught down under the keys - making it very easy to blow/shake off. The keyboard itself is thicker and a bit heavier / sturdier than my old one, which is defintely fine and the body is sculpted at an angle, instead of having those cheap flipper clips to angle the keyboard that always bust off. The Periboard-317 will always stay properly angled. Very happy about that! I've seen several reviews which state that the backlighting on this keyboard stays lit when you turn off the PC. This doesn't happen for me on a Windows 10 desktop, all my USB peripherals go dark when the power is shut off. Perhaps it stays lit on a battery powered laptop? I wouldn't know but it works as expected on a desktop. Worth every penny!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A VERY-VERY "NICE" KEYBOARD. It is light, and has a quality feel. The "BACK-LITE" has an excellent visual appeal. And, the "KEYS" are gentle.
This "KEYBOARD" is very-very "NICE." It is light in weight and made of good quality material. The "CRAFTSMAN" is excellent. It is amazingly "GENTLE" to use. The keys have a very soft touch. Great value
Needed a keyboard so type at desk without turning on bright overhead lights. This was the perfect solution. I read reports that the keyboard stays on after you turn off computer but when I turn it on in the morning, it is always off until I start the PC again. Nice comfortable keyboard with great "just right" illumination
Nice, comfortable keyboard. Just wish the illumination had an on/off feature. When you shut down your computer the keybord remains lit which seems like a waste. I tried a USB cord with an in line switch. It worked well to turn the illumination on and off, but then the computer did not recognize the keyboard and made it useless. I ordered a new USB hub that has switches for each port. Hopefully that will work. As is, whenever I shut down I have to pull the plug on the keyboard. Other than that, no complaints. Works great!!

The Awesome Perixx Illuminated Keyboard
This is a great keyboard. I am getting older (63+) and looking at a standard keyboard was getting more difficult. The Perixx keyboard has larger-print keys, is backlit, and the characters on the keys are illuminated. To me this keyboard is an incredible value.
