A young teacher is told that his friend and mentor, a Catholic priest in the small, peaceful town of Allburg, is holding captive a widow and her daughter, who have mysteriously become vampires. Finding this impossible to believe, he decides to drive to Allburg, where one of his students is vacationing, to investigate. He discovers that a vampire has been released from his captivity, and, one by one, all the town's citizens are turning into bloodsuckers or victims. Now Allburg's fate falls into the hands of an unlikely trio: the teacher, a teenage girl, a schoolteacher and the town drunk. Will this mismatched team of vampire hunters be able to save the town from the grasp of the un-dead?
