The books came in great condition! They came quickly with no issues with USPS and were even packaged in pretty colored tissue paper. The packaging was well secured and box was sturdy. They came exactly as the seller described and were in better condition than I thought even knowing they lived their lives in the library for some time! This series is not in print any longer so I jumped at the chance for the price I paid for the volumes I was getting considering how thick the later volumes are.

  • The Dish is a radio reciever dish in southern Australia that still exists.

Based on a true story, lighthearted look at an historic global event, seen through the eyes of a small town in Australia that played a key role with several dramatic hand-wringing moments. The Parkes radio dish was key in transmitting the images of the first moon landing in 1969, but not without encountering several glitches both technological and human. The characters are very real and bring the event to life. I have watched it numerous times and enjoy it afresh again and again and see just one more reason to keep it on my shelf for enjoying again in the future.
