Suitable Successor to Janet Evanovich's "Stephanie Plum" Stories
Breezy prose, heroine who is out of her comfort zone due to circumstances, some out of her control, some the result of her own precipitous actions. (The only character noticeably lacking from a Stephanie Plum universe view is a Ranger.) Many laugh-out-loud moments in this first offering, and the subsequent books, while not as scintillating, have held my interest nicely.
