  • Stay away unless you know how to hack it

This product uses an outside webserver to setup, which is no longer in business. This could be an awesome product, but there is no way to make this device share a drive on your local network. Its designed to share files via a website that links through your firewall to the internet. Totally a bad idea. Unless you search for the way to reprogram it with custom Linux server you bought a brick. Not the sellers fault. Good learning lesson

  • beware Seagate abandoning the Goflex Freeagent setup, no longer works.

No longer works, Go-Flex Freeagent has been shut down, no longer supported by Seagate, these are now useless paperweights. Loved them when Seagate supported software and used one for 6 years flawlessly, now they are useless.
