Other than the hole the coin was totally original and void of any other distracting marks or problems usually encountered on these coins. Holes were common in these coins because the intrinsic value exceeded the stated value. So what often happened (pre Comstock Load discovery era) were these coins were exported, melted or (as in this case) hole drilled into them and essentially three cents of Silver was removed & coin circulated.

Superior packaging. Swift shipping and receipt. It really doesn't get any better than this. The watch was all set and running. The only thing I had to do was remove some links for a perfect fit.
