    Prefer Alta HR

    Smaller and more feminine design than other Fitbit and similar models. Lightweight. Interchangeable watchbands with variety of colors and options (silicone, leather, metal). Only exercise not in dashboard is stairs. Heart rate and sleep patterns are detailed. Food diary is extensive and I rarely have to add an entry.

    Can't feel the notifications :(

    I like the Alta HR except the vibration for the notifications and alarm is super weak to nonexistent so that I barely even feel it. It doesn't wake me up in the mornings (and I'm a very light sleeper) and when I'm busy during the day I don't feel it either. That's super disappointing to me. Other features are good though.

    Lightweight & easy to use. Wish the display stayed on longer. I don't like the tap feature, I just look at my phone or pc. Watch & alarm is great.

    Exceeded Expectations

    Unquestionably, this will be my best purchase of 2018. I had deliberated for quite some time, over a year actually, on buying a fitness tracker. The Alta HR is everything I needed and wanted - from size, weight, capabilities and battery life. Only downside is that it cannot track flights of stairs climbed.

    For a basic fitbit it is great! Sleep cycles, heart rate, steps, but not great for exercise.

    For a basic fitbit it is great! There are features I have not used yet, but I can log water and food intake and it shows a graph that lets me know if I'm eating more than I'm using in calories. The feature I like the best is the sleep cycles. And the heart rate is accurate. I actually got this for my husband who has some health issues right now. Our automatic blood pressure machine and our heart rate and oxygen finger device both show the same heart rate at the fitbit. On the exercise end of it, I don't like it. I tried it out myself first, but it doesn't automatically log your exercise, you have to do it manually - which is a drag. I wanted to just do the work and then have it record the time I spent and the calories I burned. And it would be nice to have something with a stop ...
