    Excellent movie--for the right audience.

    If you love the silent movie era, this movie is for you. It's basically a comedy riff on the Rin Tin Tin legend--called Won Ton Ton in the movie for legal reasons. A LOT of guest stars from early Hollywood (close to 80). It didn't do well upon release in the 1970's. That was before home video and very few had access to early films. Now people have a greater appreciation of that time in movie history.

    Much better that the majority of schlock put out today

    Loosely based on the history of Rin Tin Tin, In 1924 Estie comes to Hollywood to become an actress, but the dog, that followed her becomes the star. But Hollywood has its own rules of success.This movie, populated by a bevy of 1970's Hollywood stars, is a treat for kids and adults. Easily worth the $20 (or so)
