      Get ready to work!

      I feel a bit of trepidation about writing this review so soon after receiving this book. I have not yet had enough time to work in it enough form a good solid , fact based opinion. I will base this upon my initial impression. The book does what it is intended to do, but just reading it will not produce understanding of the concepts taught. In fact, until I tried some of the simple exercises in the early part of the book I was somewhat confused. In other words, this book is not for reading, it is for guiding your practice in certain left hand techniques. Based upon what I have done so far, this book should be successful, but remember that it is a workbook, not just information. I do have a problem with the font used for part of the text. It is some kind of a very fancy style that is ...

      The L.H. patterns are helpful - I've already used a couple in a new arrangement. I was a little disappointed that half the book was sample tunes to play the accompaniments with. didn't really need that. But, it was a good value and arrived in good time.
