This is a generation down (hardware) apple computer but still is a real bargain with the Lion OSX which has bluetooth among other features. It's a great tool for students especially when you download Open Office for all the school work. If you want a gaming machine, buy a Play Station or others for games, this is for utility and some modest games if desired. The real attraction is the Apple OSX ease of use.

The Mac mini is the most underrated computer in the marketplace today. In a time where space is always a premium, the mini is the most logical solution for cramped spaces and small table tops. A full fledged computer in a 6x6x4" box is amazing. I use mine as a music, movie server and it replaced the DVD drive in my entertainment center. I have a flat screen tv and connected my mini to its VGA port and viola, I now have a 37" iMac. With a bluetooth keyboard and mouse connected, I am ready to go. With an Optical audio cable, 5.1 Dolby Digital audio is a snap. I also use my iPhone to control the Mac Mini as a remote for iTunes and a keyboard and mouse if my son has lost the BT units(OFTEN). Easy to use, easy to upgrade, NO WINDOWS to crash, truly a great unit. Older units can be had inexpensively and you are ready to go. When your current windows computer crashes(and it will), consider the Mac Mini as your replacementRead full review
I bought this Mac Mini to replace a big old Mac G5 tower that had OSX 5 on it. It has been great for our needs: small, newer OSX installed, plenty of memory. I did make the mistake of buying the wrong power supply at first (from someone else) as I did not know the wattage required for this Mini, but I found the right one at a low price locally so everything is fine now. I feel like it was a good purchase for a good price.
Yeah, it's not able to run Mavericks or later at all and has to use a thoroughly undocumented hack to run Mountain Lion (if you really get an August 2007 model, which one other reviewer said he could only upgrade to Snow Leopard, which that is only the case if you've gotten a 2006 mini that's been upgraded to a Core 2 Duo.) Since mine officially recognizes as a Mid 2007 mini from August 2007, I have Lion installed and I really want to want a newer mini, but I really like the options mine has far too well. (4GB RAM and 500GB of 7200RPM HD makes a newer mini look not quite so appealing, unless you want to test how poorly the newer models run with 2GB of memory, which I fantasize about.) Yeah, Lion may be hard to get, but I got it. You can even put Lion on a Core 2 Duo-upgraded 2006 model if you're desperate enough. The key is the Core 2 Duo upgrade, which you may want to just stick to the 2007 model.Read full review
I've now purchased 7 of these little Mac Minis over the past several years. They're small, very quite and surprisingly powerful. While they may not be beefy enough to do high power video/audio editing or graphical rendering, they are excellent for web browsing, email and standard business applications. I tend to focus on those models with Intel CoreDuo processors at 2GHz or greater, that have been retrofitted to max RAM and with 320GB or larger hard drives.
