Excellent Financial Calculator
Excellent, excellent financial calculator by HP. I needed a calculator that could keep up with my fast key pressing during a certification exam, for example. This calculator does just that. The product looks and feels solid. The contrast of the screen can be adjusted and the numbers show up clearly. Prior I had purchased a Texas BA II Plus and it was complete junk. It had severe issues with registering key presses quickly. This calculator replaced the BA II Plus I had and I am very satisfied. Only complaint with the HP 10bII is that it does not have an algebraic mode to my knowledge but having ( ) keys makes up for that.

Well, that didn't work out too well.
Shipping was great, it was delivered in less than 36 hours. The product itself was still in its original hard plastic sealed container. The problem was that the screen was cracked and unreadable and when we put new batteries in it, which is what we thought the problem was, it appeared to "fry" the calculator. It's not the end of the world and the price was great but we won't buy that again.

HP is the best calculator manufacturer in the world. Their calculators are innovative, efficient and effective. I love my HP 10bii. I'm in commercial and industrial real estate. I can use my calculator to quickly determine what a property should sell for in order for an investor to realize a specific cash-on-cash return taking into account: The properties NOI The Interest Rate(s) of the Loan(s) The Amount(s) financed and term(s) With a regular calculator this would be nearly impossible. But, with my HP, I can whip it out in about 20 seconds. I can then play what-if by plugging in different interest rates, terms, and income streams. It's very handy. It's also a great calculator for non-financial problems. The display is very easy to read and the buttons are responsive and tactile. The layout is good and the battery life is also good. Best Financial Calculator for the money
I am a tutor of college Acoounting and Business Finance and recomend these to all my students. For the money, even at retail, they are worth every penny. It is an excellent beginning financial calculator; not too hard to learn to use but powerful enough to tackle the hard problems. It won't do everything but it does most of what beginning and even some itermediate students in Accounting and Finance need done and it does it quickly, easily and accurately. No better one on the market and I have been using calculators since there were no calculators, in other words, since the very beginning. I have used several different makers and types and bar none, this is the best. If you are a beginning business student get one and get it early so you can use it for more of your classes...it even does a bit of statistics as an added bonus. So, get the best and enjoy your classes more since this little jewel takes most of the pain and hassle out of learning all those time value of money formulas! Review of HP-10BII Calculator
I bought the HP-10BII calculator for a finance class in my MBA program. This was the calculator being used by the professor. The calculator is very easy to use and comes with a manual that gives some very good examples of using the different financial functions. Calculating TMV and EARs were a cinch. This is definitely a good product to buy for a finance class. Despite it's title, this is a financial calculator and I would not describe it as a scientific calculator. If trying to use this calculator as a true scientic calculator, then I would recommend going for other models. The scientific mode is not that great. Doing calculations containing multiple factors is much easier on other scientifc calculators (e.g TI-30XA).
