I haven't read this book yet, but my husband read it as soon as it arrived. I am a Special Education teacher working with 3 and 4 year old children. My husband is an Occupational Therapist who works with children ages birth to 3 years. He is not a reader. In fact, I think this is the first book I've seen him read cover to cover since I met him. There are many ideas in the book for activities to do with children with autism and other children who have sensory needs. The book offers ideas for parents and professionals. It is a great sequel to The Out of Sync Child. Both books are great resources for parents who do not understand the different needs of their child.
The book was helpful with suggestions for activities for children with Autism. Included many ideas to help keep a child active while working on his small motor skills and other problems. I just wish it had more ideas for the older child but maybe that is in another book. Was easy to read and help to a grandmother like me. Thanks for a good book.

This was the 1st book I bought after my daughter was diagosed with sensory processing disorder. I loved the ideas in this book that would be used for her vestibular needs! They are FUN, and she loves them. I couldn't have thought of them on my own. GREAT BOOK! :)
A really helpful book for any parent that wants to make theirs child's life better. It helps me understand the "issue" and to know how to make my child's life easier.
