I needed to replace a defective DVD recorder, and found this one listed. It works great. I needed to find the user manual on-line, and finding it helped me to use all of tyhe features.

This is the cheesiest piece of junk I ever owned. It lacks features that I've had on recorders from 15 years ago. It won't play JPEG still pix on DVD, only if they are on CD and even then it won't display the captions. Also, you can't pause a disk to return to it later on if you turn off the power. It won't hold your place. The unit runs so hot that I worry it will damage my disks. The front display is very dim.

Great Time Based Correction. Can use as a pass through when digitizing VHS tapes.

I had this recorder previously but it stopped working so I bought this one. It works great. The only thing wrong with it is that the video input 1 doesn't work. It's got 3 inputs so I use the 2nd and 3rd inputs.

Bought a used Panasonic DVD recorder at the end of November to replace one purchased four years earlier, which had begun to work only when it wanted to. I'm trying to get to that point. I was quite happy with my original, first Panasonic recorder and have many DVD-RAM recordings from TV still to watch when I find time. Excellent Ebay seller set a reasonable Buy It Now price due to the economy, another plus. Remote similar to my original, so no learning other than placement of a few buttons. Terrific picture when recording from television. Seller refurbished machine and I have had no problems with it. My only quibble is almost too minor to mention: Because outstanding cable programs like Breaking Bad, Justified, etc. sometimes run a little over an hour, I tend to record a few extra minutes and my first recorder would let me shorten the program to exact length. The reason for doing this, of course, is if all programs on the disc run exactly an hour, you get six one hour shows on a 120 minute disc at the "EP" speed. I haven't been able to do this with the newer machine yet, but it's possible I just haven't found the right menu. In addition to Panasonic DVD-RAMS, I have found the Maxell Brand work just fine, also.Read full review
