    Good Readers Digest Version of Bible

    I am no Bible scholar but this seems to follow the Bible. I like to read about a Book in here before reading it in the Bible so I have a better idea of the characters and events. I pick up more from the Bible after I have read this and have an idea of things to be aware of.

    East starting point

    I wish they would find a better name for this book. Excellent starting point for new Christians, folks just mulling around the Bible, or someone who "doesn't know where to start." Begins with the very broad basics and goes up to explaining why there is an "Old" and "New" Testament" and what they are. Easy vocabulary, easy explanations, and an excellent starting point.

    The Bible for Blockheads by Douglas Connelly is well written and funny. It holds my teenagers attention and she likes using it as a resource.
