I've been searching for trv6e or dcr trv11e camera since my old one started dying. I have used the last one for more than 10 years and recorded well over 120 mini-dv tapes. Why was I going for this retro-camera? Had a fish-eye, couple of spare batteries and just the reliability of this product was excellent. Some people preffer the 120 pistol-grip but that one had too many glitches. Finally found the right one which was allmost as good as new. No scratches, perfect condition, and the lens was super clean. Working condition excellent.Memory stick is interchangeable with my digi camera which was an additional bonus. It is a retro-2000 camera but very reliable and produces great recordings on SP speed. You just have to be careful with historically bad SONY batteries. Leave them flat and they will loose the capacity. Carefull with the flip screen too, with massive over-usage it will crack sooner or later, try shooting as much as you can trough the viewfinder, it will save the batery time and will save the camera too. Zoom in and out lever can die soon as well very quickly so careful withy forcing your finger up and down. My previous survived a vertical drop from a meter, heavy rains and the horrible desert dust.Hopefully this new (old) one will last the next 10 years! Andreja77cRead full review
Had this exact model before but after 10 years of use it broke, was so impressed with it I decided to buy the same model again (albeit second hand) and I'm not disappointed. I'm a golf professional and this camcorder allows me to play frame by frame a client's swing for analysing, decent size screen unlike newer models these days which are getting smaller every year and newer models don't do what I want without a very hefty price tag! It's easy to use and relatively lightweight, 10 out of 10 in my opinion.
