This are the elite of gaming headset. I try every other brand like, sony golds which they are very good but after 2 years the headset will brake form the notches and you will end tape it down. I brought the H Wireless from steelseeries and they are as good as this one got better batteries life than the astros but the bass and sound the astros are superior. Try the elite 800 from trutle beach and they are good also but the fact of this price, the look and how comfortable they are over your head its a no brainier why I choose this headset. It performs the way I like it and im a very satisfied costumer.

Battery only lasted 5 hours cause preowned. Looked up how to replace the battery in them and is complicated and you have to peel off the cloth on the ear pieces then when your done glue em back on. Thats ridiculous we will probably not be using them

These Astros are worthwhile. They have great surround sound and in games like Rainbow Six Siege I'm actually able to pinpoint where steps are coming from. The Astro's docking station connects to a PC where you can manipulate all aspects of equalization through their Command Center software. There you can either use presets or create your own profiles. Doing this is very easy once you get the hang of it. Then you can upload up to three profiles to the Astros to use with your favorite games. I upgraded from Gen 1 and the Sound quality is very good. I recommend it to any gamer. Pros: Command Center makes it easier to update firmware and to create profiles fount to the "T". The headset is confortable to wear and has a good battery life. It can also be plugged to a power source while using. Con: with so many options in the Command Center it can be daunting to chose what you want. The docking base does feel a little flimsy and you cannot connect to a PC via your WiFi network for configuration. You have to physically take the unit and headset to your computer to do the updates and configuration.Read full review

If your looking to get a headset or upgrade an existing headset and you got $125.00. Then these are for you !!! While these are optimized for Xbox they work just as well on my PS4, that's right lady's and gentlemen they will work on multiple platforms!! Ok to be fair this did take some extra pieces and some clever thought process but it works great. So if you don't want to shell out the $450 for the new generation of Astro's and buy a second PS4 base ( another $100 ) then do your self a favor and snag these and do some research on how they work with there chat programs and buy a the other things you need ( under $50 for everything) and call it a done deal

The product came in aggressive, bulky, quality packaging. That tells you what you're getting in these headphones. They're large, but not heavy. They stand out, but they're not overbearing. These would be as comfortable for extended, hot and sweaty gaming sessions, as they would be for listening to a few songs on your laptop. The styling is aggressive, which is what you'd expect from a gaming headset. The materials, however, look and feel very nice compared to even past generation A50s. The soft touch plastic feels a great deal more premium than the standard hard plastic from previous generations. And that's what you're getting in this headset, as far as construction. The shiny, height adjustable arms look like metal, but after a quick moment of awe I was almost hurt to find they are also plastic. In fact, much of the body is plastic. In this case, however, that's not such a bad thing. The plastic construction allows for a lighter product, which lends to greater comfort during longer periods of use. What's more, even though the design is mostly plastic, they never feel cheap or flimsy. Along with that, the design is very user friendly and efficient. Chat and game volume balance can be adjusted on the fly by touching your right ear cup. The arms on either side of the headset can be easily adjusted up and down to your liking, giving a tighter or looser fit without a hassle. The new feature of truly being wireless means that now you can be free of your controller while still enjoying content. And don't get me started on the magnetic ear cups. "But even with such a fantastic design, this headset still uses a lot of plastic to cost around $300." I hear you. Now shut up and listen to these headsets. These large drivers are capable of providing crisp highs, smooth mids and thumping lows. The three presets that come loaded into the headset are useable, and they do some things really well, but you can also create a preset on your PC and load that instead, for a sound that's just right for you. Overall, this headset is an absolute improvement over previous generations. It earns it's high price tag with form and function.Read full review
