This Western Digital hard drive holds a large quantity of data and accesses it quickly. Those who work with enterprise drives know that the internal hard drive performance might become negatively affected by environmental vibration. The Western Digital RE2 addresses this issue by using Rotary Acceleration Feed Forward (RAFF). This senses the vibrations from rotation and adjusts the drive head position to keep the drive head away from the platter. What's more, the Western Digital hard drive also keeps information moving by utilizing Time-Limited Error Recovery (TLER). This reduces the time a drive spends on attempted error recovery. The creators of the Western Digital RE2 believe in their product and give it a 1.2 million hours MTBF (Mean Time Before Failure) rating. The internal hard drive is 1.03-inches tall, 4-inches wide, has a depth of 5.79-inches, and weighs 1.32 lbs. It's spindle speed is 7,200 RPM.
