It was my first "peltier" element (and fortunately mounted on heatsinks, ready to test). I switched the fans right away so they blow against the heatsinks and not the other way around (I find it to work the best this way). The good: The peltier element seems to be of good quality, better than other "TEC1-12706" cheaply available on ebay. This one is a "SZ-12705" made 2018/01 and although it's rated as less powerful than the 12706, the 706 I have to compare (from another source) seems worse than this 705 (ceramic quality - heat conduction, cooling capacity/energy dissipated...) . The assembly was reasonably well put together, with thermal paste on both sides and a "sponge" adhesive separator on the outskirts of the peltier, between heatsinks. Ready to test. The bad: The heatsinks come with sharp and very rough edges; Fan does not have metal grill protection as shown on the pictures (not terrible, but yet it's something to note...), and the bigger fan arrived with one corner broken (however the fan was still functional and I was able to glue it with super glue).Read full review

Temperature of the cold side is around 0C, heat sinks greatly improve it's effectiveness over just the bare Peltier unit

Bought this with higher expectations than it could deliver. Not very impressive but depends what you're using it for I guess.

Easy to assemble. Specs are accurate. Makes a perfect hi-performance cooler for a NUC or Compute Stick.

It is exactly what I ordered, but the small fan does not work and for this reason I am stranded with my project
