    Great addition to home security and access

    Whilst the first one sent was faulty, the seller promptly replaced it and the replacement one is working perfectly. Highly recommended as long as you have good wifi signal at the door and an internet upload speed of 1mbps or better. With this I can see and even talk to whoever is at my door using my phone or iPad from anywhere, even if they don't press the door button, marvellous. A great addition, and highly recommended.

    Disappointed with WiFi range. Marginal functionality!

    The doorbell is somewhat functional but the poor range reduces the rating significantly. I wouldn't even consider purchasing with out the ring chime pro wifi extender. Even with the Chime Pro within 15 feet of the doorbell I show a low wifi signal. The notifications when I receive them are significantly delayed. I will use as a doorbell as we didn't have one but the video/security features are of limited use.

    Its just OK

    Unfortunately after having this item for 6 months I would not recommend it. In fact, most of the you-tube videos, from people that made the same purchase said exactly the same thing. I now know why. The feature that it really needs is to be able to access the camera when you want however, this can only be done once the door bell has rung?? Then, they want $40 every year for camera data storage, with quality being just a bit better than average? There are cheaper ones and from the research Ive done after, much better ones at a cheaper price and that allow you to use your own cloud storage!!

    Great to be able to have it ring, monitor and communicate and view historic recordings from anywhere . The whole family likes it. The iPhone/iPad App forks well and the chime integrates smoothly.

    Great product, poor battery life

    Ring is a great product except for a few issues, namely the woeful battery life and the ridiculous cost. I'm hoping the solar charger will at least fix the battery issue. Taking it down to recharge every two months is ridiculous and not something you would expect in this price range.
