    great book, good value

    A most interesting book on a very interesting subject: interurban trains in the Los Angeles area. Great photos in local spots, coupled with a photo of the same spot 50 years, or more, later -- as it looks now. Well done, well researched. On high quality paper. Good value on sale.

    PE- THEN AND NOW

    NICE PUBLICATION WITH GOOD PICTURES THAT CAPTURES THE ESSENCE OF PACIFIC ELECTRIC-FROM ONE WHO LIVED THERE AND RODE THEM SINCE 1940.I REMEMBER THEM WELL.THE LA IDIOTS TOOK UP THE TRACKS FOR ANOTHER LANE OF FREEWAY THAT YOU CAN NO LONG GO OVER 10 MPH ON AND THEY WISH THEY HAD THE TRACKS BACK SO THEY COULD DEVELOPE FAST TRANSPORTATION FOR SOME COST OF LESS THAN MULTIPLE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS PER FOOT. ALL POLITICANS ARE IDOTS.

    Great Book fun read photos are awesome

    I bought this book because i lived in so cal growing up in the late 50's and seeing the red cars as a boy.It told a lot about that time and era.Fun Read and great Photos thanks for the memories.
