Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best Selling in Sound Cards (Internal)
What should I say? The only words that come to mind is that this sound card is the absolute best sound card out there. I have never seen anything better from any company. If you're looking for a gaming sound card this is not for you, it certainly can amplify the music enough, but this baby's beauty comes from its crystal clear reproduction of audio -- even up to 192kHz by 24-bit. That is the quality that major news outlets use. You are working with prime equipment here. Truly this is THE BEST! Are there other boards that are also 192x24? Well their internal noise level is way higher than this. PURE GOLD! A+++

Bought this -used- to replace an already extraordinary Asus Xonar D2X. Before that I had a Soundblaster Audigy 4 Pro and before that an Audigy Live. The latter were not bad but the two Asus cards are much better. The Essence ST clearly wins, however by a rather small margin (the D2X is good enough). Many people are selling their ST because they want a PCI-e card. Do not worry, there are still plenty MBs with a PCI slot. For 50-75 US dollar you can get a used ST and enjoy very good quality audio (as long as you have the right equipment - good speakers and a reasonable amplifier).

Most advanced sound card I have ever encountered. Also have daughter card for surround sound output. I use it with a Technucs 1210 MK5G turntable with Adobe Audition CS6 software to run a service that converts vinyl record media to CD in wav and mps files. I plan on buying another too.
Hands down the best value for a soundcard on the market, despite it's age. DOWNLOAD UNIFIED DRIVERS TO INSTALL ON WIN10, DO NOT USE OFFICIAL ASUS DRIVERS!
