The plastic percolator top on my generic stovetop/camping coffee maker was broken and melted and the coffee was spurting all over the place. This product was easy and fast to install. I purchased a stainless coffee percolator instead of aluminum for health reasons, and now I am so glad to have a glass top instead of cooked plastic in my coffee! Coffee percolators are awesome and make the best strong coffee over other means!!!
