When shooting clays it's difficult to hear people talking and still protect your hearing from shotgun noise. Best of both worlds in that softens the loud and amplifies the low. Even though they are slim ear muffs they do get in the way a bit when mounting the gun.

I don’t know if the circuitry doesn’t cut off sharp sound quick enough. I hear more gun shot than I think I should. Hearing voices is great. As for the sound of gunshot I don’t have a second pair of Walker’s to do a comparison. I had hoped for less gunshot noise. If I had the packaging I may consider returning them. The product may be great. Mine may be defective. Without a comparative set, I can’t give a educated opinion.

Get the special $40 gel earcups for these things. They make provision for glasses. The issue with all ear protection that goes over the ear is glasses. And as we know, smart shooters use eye protection. I have to use eye protection and Rx glasses. I was using Surefire earbud style ear protection but I'm just tired of sticking them in my ears, honestly and wanted the electronic stuff so I wasn't shouting conversations. Until I get the overpriced earcups, I have to use foamies under them in order to keep those ARs at bay.

The hearing protectors seem to be well made and fit well. Really nice not having to take them off when you are not firing. Using the audio system enables one to hear conversation without removal. Being thin they do not interfere or get you too far away from the scope.

This is my 2nd pair of these, the ear pads started flattening out, and the sound degraded after about 300 - 400 hours of use. This set was shipped with rigid plastic covers for the ear pads. I saved them, and store the set with those plastic covers, and they have held shape.
