These cameras are great second hand - new they were nearly a £1000 to but, but now they have fallen down to a fraction of their price. But these are still very capable cameras - the autofocus is still super fast if you choice your lens carefully - unfortunately the 20mm 1.7 is a slow lens. The sensor until the Pen F was the flagship Micro 4/3 sensor - and 16mp is still great. EVF is a little small - but works well. and the grip is good - better than many Olympus pen cameras that lack it. If you pair with a prime lens and not the kit zoom, you will get great bokeh. Its nearly as good as Olympus oM1 and Pen F - but they cost way more

Bought as 2nd hand with very low shutter count and camera is just as new. Fabulous camera to use and unlike many of the "G" series it has stabilisation built into the camera body which means that just about every lens fitted to it will be covered, even other brand lenses fitted with M4/3 adaptors. It also has a focus indication feature on Manual focus which is great when using adapted lenses. I think this is the best of the "G" series cameras. I can compare to G1 & G3, Less bulk than the straight "G" models and with a compact lens it will fit in a jacket pocket. ( I am currently using it with the 14-42 lens, a bit less compact but even that will still fit in my vest/bodywarmer large pocket) Packed full of features it covers every picture variation that I am ever likely to need. I just love it.Read full review

Now in my 70s I needed a camera that is lighter, but still produces great images. The Panasonic GX7 fits the bill perfectly. Its controls are comprehensive (and easy to use), and I've been very impressed with the pictures I've taken. The adjustable viewing screen and EVF are very helpful for composing at differing angles. More than most cameras (to me) the GX7 fits my hands perfectly. It has both RAW and JPEG capture, and a useable movie facility. I bought it because of its feature and lack of weight, but I'm now considering moving to a Micro 4/3 system, as most M4/3 enses are about half the weight of competitors. This is a big issue for me. Highly recommended.

Utterly superb camera!!! I bought this as my Canon DSLr was becoming too heavy. It has easy to understand menus. is very easy to set up and takes suerb pictures. I am using an Olympus 14-42 and I can see no differnce between the pictures taken on the panasonic and those taken with my Canon 40d with a Canon 17-40 L lens. The whole kit weighs about a fifth.
